Up for auction is this very large, handmade, one of a kind clergy stole or vestment that was purchased from the colorful indian market of chichicastenango, guatemala. It is waist loomed wtih a deep rich purple color. I have never seen one like this before, it is just beautiful. There are bands of color with various religious symbols of crosses, chalices, a fish, flowers and othre designs throughout the entire length of the stole, they are approx 4 inches wide. When stretched out it meausres approx.
8 feet 2 incehs long and 4 inches wide. There si matching purple fringe on both ends that measures an additional 5 inches. If you do not want to use it as a stole, i have seen this used as a table runner or a colorful accent in a home.
