Folded down they are 16 1/2 tall. The two arms of this piece can be positioned in several ways as shown and then tightened down with a thumb screw. I beileve both are brass. They coudl use a good cleaning or left as i found them. This is a charming piece's for those that appreciate teh older catholic items.
